Japanese Bath Ladle

Japanese Bath Ladle

This Chozuya-style Japanese Bath Ladle is traditionally used for Temizu, the ceremony of purifying oneself before entering a Shinto-Buddhist temple. This ritual is performed through the cleansing of hands, mouth and finally the bath ladle itself. Although originally used in temples, this bath ladle is ideal for the bathtub or sauna. Due to its highly rust-resistant galvanised steel cup, the ladle is suitable for wet environments both indoors and outdoors.
