This Bon tray is made from Japanese Caster Aralia in the Ishikawa prefecture, which has over four hundred years of Japanese lacquerware history. Bon tray is especially known for ‘kiji’, which is the process of shaping wood, with each tray carefully handmade. The wooden surface is delicate and smooth, ideal for the dinner table. This versatile piece can be used as a place mat as well as a serving tray.
